PRS, GRC & HDR conferences

In some Schools, such as Architecture and Design, all candidates are expected to present twice a year at a PRS (Practice Research Symposium). This occurs whether the presentation is a formal milestone, or not – and as such these events and presentations are considered to be an important part of the research process, rather than just a institutional hoop or requirement. In A+D, Fashion and Textiles and some other contexts, the importance of the PRS presentation is also linked to the fact that candidates almost always present to their panel of examiners – so the act of presenting is a component of examination and therefore of special importance.
